Those crazy SuperDogs. They jump, they dance, they perform great feats, and most of all they are just so much fun to watch. And the kids never fail to be delighted and look forward to this show.
Appearing once again at this year's CNE, the theme for this year's SuperDogs show is Disco Dogs – they'll be grooving and jumping to great disco music from Donna Summer to Daft Punk. Dogs, Disco and Daft Punk? We're in.
New this year too is a change of venues for the show at the CNE- shows this year are moved to Ricoh Coliseum with two shows a day at 12pm and 2pm. New venue means no more line ups. We love that.
While we wait to go see them live, we thought it would be fun to get to know the dogs a bit better.
Who are they?
Squire is a 3 year old Wire Haired Fox Terrier and is a third generation SuperDog (following in the steps of his Grandma Sage and his dad Solo). He loves nothing more than to run fast, jump high, dance through the weave poles and perform his tricks on stage.
Sid the Kid – Sid’s first family surrendered him to a shelter in Winnipeg, Manitoba because he was too much for them to handle. His new family saw all that energy as potential and knew he could be a star. Sid has been performing with the SuperDogs for over five years. Can you guess his favourite game – FRISBEE
Lily – For the first year of her life, Lily was passed around from home to home before she ended up in a shelter. This active little 10 pounds mixed breed dog had so many behaviour issues and had been through so much that nobody seemed to be able to establish a relationship with her. After a lot of training to keep her mind challenged, Lily is now a great family pet, friend and SuperDog!
